Amazing food. My girlfriend and I did the tasting menu (1 each), and it was the perfect amount of food. Each portion was invigorating, tasty and I wanted more and more. Service was amazing a well.

Small Asian - Latin dishes, full of taste and unique. A lot of sweet and spicy combinations. The restaurant has a DJ in every day, so it is on the noisy side - but we could still had a conversation. We've set outside on the rooftop and had a nice view and some sun. Their beef carpaccio was the best I've ever had!

Going into this with no expectations but still was definitely dissapointed considering Peruvian food is so delicious in many simple ways. Our server was great and very kind! We started with the miso soup which was good, very potent! Then followed with the arroz chaufa which was beyond disappointing, especially for such a simple delicious dish. It came out about 30 seconds after ordered which was a bit of a red flag, only to find it being cold and the corn and other veggies pretty dehydrated… probably sitting out for a while. Luckily the Acevichado roll after was the highlight from a food perspective. So good and please if you come here ONLY order this. It was my birthday so the very kind server brought us alfajores with a little sparkler, unfortunately just very stale sad alfajores. I hope people don’t take this as their first experience of some aspect of Peruvian food. If you want instagrammable pics sure, come here. If you want to eat, please don’t. (Great cocktails - thank you bartenders! And service - thank you servers/bussers/runners!)

100 out of 5 stars! Oh my goodness, where do I begin with this absolutely gorgeous space, exceptional food, breathtaking views, and an amazingly kind team? Let me start by saying that I am a very proud San Francisco native, born and raised. Over the course of my 40+ years in this city, I've eaten at countless restaurants throughout San Francisco. Chotto Matte stands out as one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. We were even seated a bit earlier than our rooftop reservation time, which was a lovely surprise. Every single person—from the hosts and waitstaff to the bussers, servers, and management team—was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Multiple team members, including what I assume were supervisors or managers, stopped by our table throughout the evening to check on our food and make sure we were enjoying our experience. Even on the way to the restroom and as we were leaving, people went out of their way to be friendly and welcoming. I see that customer experience is important and matters to the team across the board. We ordered the Nikkei Gyoza, Black Cod, Spicy Tuna Hako Roll, and guacamole. Every dish was de

What an absolute standout experience to celebrate! The indoor-outdoor rooftop energy, fire pits, and music at Chotto Matte set the perfect celebratory mood, but the Japanese-Peruvian fusion completely stole the show. Here is everything we loved from our meal: The Pisco Sour, The ultimate starter. Perfectly balanced, bright, citrusy, and topped with a velvety, frothy foam that kicked off the night beautifully. Crispy Pork Belly (New Small Plate), A brand-new addition to their small plates menu, and it is a total must-order! The skin has a shattering, golden crunch, while the meat remains incredibly juicy, succulent, and flavor-packed. Spicy Tuna Roll, A total visual and flavor showstopper. Pillowy soft salmon tartare and yellowtail with a fiery red pepper kick, completely elevated by the rich, airy crunch of the crispy squid ink topping. Asado de Tira (Angus Steak), Unbelievably tender. The Angus beef melts in your mouth, and having the rich, decadent truffle teriyaki sauce and high-quality sea salt served on the side let us customize every single perfect bite. Pollo Picante, Juicy, tender chicken seared to perfection with a bold anticucho chili and yuzu marinade that delivers a br
